Find Entries By

The ClosedFind Entries By property box determines the method used by the Find Entries activity to find entries.

To configure Find Entries By

  1. Add the Find Entries activity to your workflow definition by dragging it from the Toolbox Pane and dropping it in the Designer Pane.
  2. Select the activity in the Designer Pane.
  3. Under Find Entries By in the Properties Pane, choose one of the following.

To find entries based on their ID number

  1. Select Laserfiche Entry ID.
  2. Enter an ID number. All documents, folders and shortcuts stored in a Laserfiche repository are assigned a Laserfiche Entry ID number. The activity will return all the entries within the folder, or, if the ID is a document or shortcut, all the entries within the document or shortcut's parent folder.
  3. Note: If you want to return only an individual document, rather than the parent folder, use the Find Entry activity instead.
